Meta’s Muse: how to use it to grow Facebook pages

Meta launched a personal AI agent that does work, not just answers questions. Here’s the page-owner playbook.

Meta just handed page owners a personal AI agent that actually does work, not another chatbot that dumps tips.

Muse runs on its own secure computer (Muse Secure VM), connects to the apps you already use, including Facebook and Instagram, and keeps going after you close the app. You talk to it like a person, in the Muse app or WhatsApp. US rollout is live on iOS, Android, and muse.ai.

That’s the news. Here’s what it means if you run Facebook pages.

What Muse is (and isn’t). It plans, browses, drafts, and executes tasks you approve. It is not a Meta growth hack that auto-posts you into distribution. Treat it like a junior ops hire with a browser: useful when you give it a clear job and keep the approval gates on.

Five jobs that actually move a page:

1. Daily insights digest. Ask Muse to pull what moved yesterday: reach, saves, comments, which formats held attention. You start the day with decisions, not a blank Insights tab.

2. DM and comment triage. Brand inbound, collab asks, angry readers. Muse drafts replies; you hit send. Pages die in the inbox, not in the feed.

3. Content plan from what’s already working. Feed it your last 20 winners. Have it propose this week’s angles in your niche voice, not generic “post more Reels” filler.

4. Competitor watch. Point it at 3–5 pages in your niche. Weekly brief: what they posted, what spiked, what to steal the structure of (not the copy).

5. Goal to calendar. 100k more followers in 90 days or double link CTR. Muse builds the plan and nudges the next actions. You still own creative taste and compliance.

The Publisher in a Box rule. Connect Facebook/Instagram with the least access you need. Keep send/purchase approvals on. Never hand Muse unpaid posting rights on a monetized page until you’ve watched it for a week on drafts-only.

Muse won’t replace page ops. It compresses the busywork so your team spends time on hooks, creative, and distribution, the stuff that still decides whether a post earns.
