In today’s issue: the Meta One email landing in inboxes worldwide, what it says about Oct 28, why every serious publisher should be set up, how to prepare your portfolio, and five stories moving the market.

  INSIDER ANALYSIS

The Meta One email is landing. Be ready on the 28th.

The Meta email titled People in your business portfolio can start managing Meta One in 14 days, saying that starting October 28, 2026, anyone with access to the portfolio can buy and manage a Meta One subscription
The Meta email landing in portfolios worldwide.

Meta is emailing Facebook business portfolio admins with the subject line “People in your business portfolio can start managing Meta One in 14 days.” We are seeing it land across the portfolios we work with worldwide, including New Zealand, the US and the UK. It says that starting Oct 28, 2026, anyone with access to the portfolio can buy and manage a Meta One subscription. The setting turns on automatically, and you control it in Business info in Meta Business Suite.

We think every serious publisher on Facebook should be set up and ready on the 28th.

01 What the email says and what Meta One is

The email is a portfolio-access notice. It lets admins give people management access to Meta One without giving them full access to the portfolio, and it says nothing about your Page qualifying. An earlier notice sent Oct 8 was reported to start Oct 21, so the date appears to follow when your notice was sent. Check your own email.

Meta One is Meta’s paid subscription across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI. For creators and businesses, US starting prices run from $14.99 to $499 a month, and Meta says prices and availability vary by region and account. Every tier includes a verified badge and impersonation protection, both subject to passing verification. Advanced and above add scheduling, exportable analytics, team access and links in organic posts and Reels.

02 Why every serious publisher should be set up

Three reasons. First, identity. Pages with big followings attract copycats, and verification with impersonation monitoring gives you proactive protection.

Second, control. Anyone with portfolio access can buy a subscription from Oct 28, so decide who that is. A default setup is how a stray subscription lands on the wrong card.

Third, links. Meta is testing a cap on external links for select Pages: two organic posts or comments a month, and past that the link is reported to show as plain text. Advanced raises the cap to 8, Expert to 20 and Max to unlimited. News publisher Pages are reported to be exempt, though Meta has not defined who counts as a publisher. If sending traffic to your own site pays your bills, find out where each page stands. This is the structure we build with publishers inside Facebook Elite Consulting.

A verified, properly set up page is also a more attractive asset. Our view is that buyers’ due diligence will look for verification, clean permissions and identity protection, and that a page with all three supports a higher sale price. When you are ready to sell, list it on Publisher Market.

03 What we expect this to mean for reach, distribution and page quality

Our view is that Meta is sorting pages into accountable operators and everyone else. Verification, impersonation protection and a named subscriber are trust signals, and platforms lean on trust signals as they automate. We expect verified pages with clean permissions to hold up better through impersonation attacks, disputes and policy reviews, which means fewer interruptions to a page that earns.

On links, the effect is direct. A page that runs out of its allowance loses clickable links for the month, so link traffic and RPM are exposed.

Feed reach is less clear. Meta has not said that subscribing changes ranking, and we are not claiming it does. Our hypothesis, which we are testing across dozens of pages, is that verified, subscribed pages see steadier distribution than comparable unsubscribed pages over the next 60 days. We will report what we see.

04 How to prepare before Oct 28

Open Meta Business Suite for each portfolio, go to Settings, then Business info, and find the Meta One setting. Then open People and Partners, remove anyone who no longer works with you, and narrow everyone else’s access. Pick one owner and one payment method on purpose. Meta says subscriptions renew monthly and are tied to the platform and account used to subscribe.

Then do the link math. Open the post composer on each page and look for a chip with a link icon and a number, which means the page is in the test. Count how many external-link posts each page runs in a month and compare that to the 2, 8, 20 and unlimited allowances. NewsBomb shows you which posts and pages are driving the most interactions, so you can send more referral traffic to your own site. If you are ready and the math works, get connected on the 28th.

05 What we still do not know

Meta has not said whether a subscription changes feed or Reels ranking, or how it defines a publisher for the link exemption. Meta’s Help Center still describes Meta One as in limited testing, so what you see at checkout may differ from this. We will update you as we learn more.
