1. Reels has officially hit a $50B annual run-rate for Meta/Facebook → Video consumption on Instagram is up 30% year-over-year and Meta confirmed Reels is now a $50B business line across FB, IG, and Threads. Reels is now a scaled media economy with rocket-fueled ad demand. We continue to see the same trend inside our ecosystem: pages leaning into fast creative cycles + viral-style short video are breaking earnings plateaus. Those still avoiding video are stagnating.

2. Instagram is letting select users tune their Reels feed, Facebook to follow → IG rolled out a feature letting users pick preferred content topics to shape their Reels algorithm. As users get more control, targeted relevance beats randomness. Expect publishers with niche mastery and tight trend-mapping to benefit first. And expect this same control layer to hit Facebook soon.

3. Content monetization earnings are surging, and we're seeing the spike in real time → The last 30 days were our highest revenue period ever from Content Monetization across 250+ million followers. Dozens of partner pages are seeing the same hockey-stick trend. Between rising RPMs, aggressive video consumption, and Q4 budgets, this is the strongest period of the year. And the pages shipping volume, speed, and viral-first creative are capturing the upside. It's prime time. Execute accordingly.

4. Meta just announced social media’s “third era” with AI-generated and remixed content Zuckerberg says we’ve moved from friends to creators to AI-first feeds, with already 20B+ user-generated AI images. Meta will inject a massive new wave of AI content into recommendations across Facebook, IG, and Threads. The feed is shifting to infinite creation, remix culture, and algorithm-driven discovery. Publishers who treat AI as a production engine are set to win attention and volume in this new “era.”

5. YouTube Shorts now out-earns long-form per watch hour → YouTube Shorts just crossed $10.26B in Q3 ad revenue and is officially generating higher ad revenue per watch hour than long-form. This flips the historic YouTube playbook and confirms a platform-wide truth: short-form is now a primary revenue engine. Fast storytelling and snackable formats are no longer optional if you want algorithmic reach and advertiser dollars.

1. Audit your attention metrics.

Views, engagement, and time spent are the only metrics that matter. Frequency means nothing if people don’t stay.
